Robin Despairs as Dr. Drake becomes Mr. Mom
With Patrick proving to be a natural nurturer, Robin's difficulty bonding with baby Emma this week leads her to wonder if father really does know best.
JT says that Robin has put a lot of pressure on herself, to be a great mom and it's not going exactly the way she planned. He says that it gets to the point where Robin is really questioning her mothering skills; 'Do we get a nurse, because obviously, Emma doesn't like me?'
A still recovering Robin is stricken when she fails to comfort a crying Emma but Patrick has no such problem. JT says that when he comes home, Emma is crying and he picks her up and she's automatically okay. He says that Patrick is trying to be supportive of Robin who's having a little harder time with it. Robin can't breast-feed because she's HIV+ and a lot of studies have said that is a bonding time for mom and baby. Robin is starting to panic that maybe Emma is not bonding with her because of the breast-feeding issue. Are they not going to be connected?
JT says they try to keep it light in some places but the more it goes on, the more it affects her. He says it's starting to escalate, no sleep, the baby is always crying and Robin can't do anything about it, and all those feelings of her not being very good are starting to compound.
JT says that Robin is emotional and hormonal and wants to do the best she possibly can, she's still *Robin*, so she is still controlling and still wants to be the best at everything. All of that erupts into, "I'm not being a good mother."
The problem becomes serious enough to consult Kelly, who comes back with a depressing diagnosis.

so many lies. JT appraoching the writters to work with BH? No. BH and SB approaching the writters to work together? Yes
-s/a
So many lies indeed. It was BH who approached the writers to work with JT. She is desperate now that she is out of a pairing and out of airtime.
