The show is pleased with the progress Patrick/Robin, Nik/Rebecca and Jason/Sam are making. They are doing well in the polls and are credited for the good feedback the show is getting.
What polls?
How is feedback measured and on what basis is it tabulated? And who is that info sent to?
If they are going by phone calls to the comment line, what's the average per week? Or how about letters?

I don't know the specifics. As for the polls its both internal and external.

1 new couple will be formed
1 couple will end soon
1 couple will have everything going for them
1 couple will re-visit the past
1 couple will re-visit the past, but will end shortly
Someone new is coming in town

Any Scrubs info?
Geez in a squeeze.
You guys got a love scene coming up that you know about.
You got a medical mystery coming with the How did Brianne die
You got brother in law action when Matt goes ona drinking binge.
You got Martha Byrne to play with followed by Lara Parker.
What do you want?

In response to Scrubs:
You already know all there is to know. They are busy helping Matt and dealing with various hospital issues. Their personal life (love life) will be good with some minor disagreements as they deal with those issues.

If I were a Scrubs fan, I wouldn't worry for a minute. They are, sorry, platinum.

Week of June 1st
Patrick worries about Robin. Patrick suffers from a case of "Be careful what you wish for" this week, when Robin takes to mothering like a duck to water. JT explains that Scrubs spend some together but it quickly becomes clear that Robin is really just focused on Emma. Patrick tells her he really wants to spend time with her and Robin tells him that she just really wants to be with Emma right now because she missed so much time with her. JT says Patrick looks at it like "Is this the way it's going to be now? Am I going to get shut out?"

Robin is so intent on spending time with Emma, that she refuses to leave her in daycare. Patricks asks her if she's going to come back to work and Robin tells him she doesn't know. Patrick is like "Why don't you talk to me about these things?" He starts feeling a little left out.

Patrick notices Robin is maybe just a little too eager to adjust to the demands of parenthood, which are challenges he has nearly mastered. JT says Patrick has been taking care of Emma the majority of the time. It's become like a routine for him, whereas she's just breaking in now, so every little thing is a big deal to her.

What's so wrong with that?

JT laughs and says there's a moment when Scrubs are kissing and Emma makes a sound. Robin gets up but Patrick tells her not to worry about it, it's Emma's happy sound. But Robin still gets up to check, because she's not aware of all these little things.

But little things have a way of adding up quickly...

Week of June 8th
Patrick and Robin share happy time.

  • In the next SOD, Jason Thompson talks hair care. He says, "Basically, I just wake up and it has a life of it's own [laughs]. Actually I use this thing called Tacho Stick. It's a green stick. It looks like a deodorant stick & it smells like lavender, but it works great. I think the key is not to condition it. I shampoo it, but I don't condition. I think maybe that's the key. It gets a little fluffy. Thank god, they're not too picky about it and fixing it all the time. That drives me a little crazy, so I'm lucky they let me go with the 'get out of bed' look [laughs]." - Credit SZ.

The Dish ... which is quite possibly false and should be taken with a grain of salt

Matt opens up to Robin after shutting Patrick out.

Both Kim McCullough and Jason Thompson have resigned. Their upcoming story arcs will all be related directly or indirectly to the hospital side of the canvas. Do not expect either Finola or Tristan back for any family time. Family rears its head in the beginning-- Ethan for Robin and Matt for Patrick--but, this is very brief. Pratt has openly challenged Guza in this arena by incorporating numerous recent hospital storylines on AMC. In response, Scrubs will hold down the fort in this endeavor.

The Many Faces of Patrick

Watching Patrick and Robin reconnect yesterday on General Hospital was so cute, it actually reminded me why these characters - this couple - are so vital to this show, but I think I’ll save that angle for another post. Honestly, yesterday’s reunion was sweet and I know it’s a moment that Scrub fans have been anticipating ever since Robin went off to treatment, three weeks ago, for post-partum depression. After that episode aired on 4/28, all I kept thinking was, “Three weeks is a long time, what are they going to do with Patrick while Robin is away?” Sure, we all knew Michael was going to have his official “aging ceremony” with Patrick as his miracle doc, but what else were they going to do with Patrick? It’s not as if these surgeries can last 3 weeks, can they? Oh wait - I forgot this is GH and based on the death of Alan Quartermaine, anything can happen. So you’ll understand that this is where I start to get legitimately agitated. You see, the character of Patrick is half the reason I watch this often intolerable show and I know if left up to those really important people at the helm, Patrick could be a glimmer of his former self by the time Robin comes home. See somewhere back in March/April there appeared to be a hint of him and some other female character who shall remain nameless. Cough. Liz. Cough. So yes, I fully admit it, I actually thought the PIZ hour was coming! Sounds like the apocalypse or something of that fashion, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, it is true but what happened next actually surprised me in such a subtle and un-Guza (yeah, it’s a word) like way that I’m compelled to write about it.

Fifteen times. That’s the number of episodes Patrick was on while Robin was away in therapy. Fifteen out of eighteen episodes (according to my calculations) and what makes me giddy about this is aside from the surgery material, none of it was really what I expected or thought... including the screen-time!

After being such a supportive husband and arranging for his wife to go away for treatment, Patrick played five other key roles in Port Charles. Five! Can you believe it? Every time I turned on GH there he was and it was such a refreshing face to see compared to the alternatives.

Taking a look back, here are the many faces of Patrick …

#1 Father: Even though he was nervous, Patrick took on his most important role with such strength and conviction. It was so adorable watching him talk to Emma and remind her how much her mommy loved and missed them. Seeing him in the position of temporary single father was important because it just cements to the viewers how much he has changed since first gracing our screens three plus years ago. Jason Thompson has done a remarkable job at transitioning this character and I think his best stuff with Patrick as a father is yet to come.

#2 Brother: Agreeing to let Matt move in and help him was a big deal for Patrick. Sure, he probably could have done it on his own, but letting Matt help had more to do with them continuing to find their way as brothers than anything else. Yes, Matt is Emma’s uncle and he had some funny moments in that regard (Ha, chick magnet!) but keeping this relationship going in a positive direction now is important to how the story unfolds in the coming weeks. (LOL, if you’re unsure what I’m referring to here you’ll need to jump to the speculation portion of the site)

#3 Dr. Drake: Yes, Patrick is a successful neurosurgeon. Everyone knows it since he rarely lets anyone forget it. While it was touch and go for an episode or two we all knew Michael was going to wake up and prove to everyone that he really is 10 years older and that Patrick’s still got it even though he most likely came into this surgery right after he changed a diaper and cleaned the spit-up off his shirt.

#4 Just a Friend: Oh Liz. This was the one role I feared more than any other. Mainly because I’ve watched soaps a long time and I’ve seen just how this stuff works. They start out as friends and then slowly, day by day, it becomes more -- even when the chemistry is lacking something fierce! So, despite my issues on the subject, I watched their scenes and after all was said and done I actually believed the scenes for what they were: friendly advice. It began with Liz’s initial question to Patrick, “How does love work?” and it ended with me a happy camper as Patrick realized his own progression on the subject. He reflected on the happiness he’s found with Robin and Emma and it made Elizabeth see just how rare true love is and how just maybe all hope isn’t lost for her and Lucky after all.

#5 Inn-keeper: The oddest of the roles finds Patrick taking in a house guest to a desperate Holly, who is running from Luke and his incessant Ethan parentage inquiries. The one thing these scenes managed to do was remind of the Markham Islands arc 3 years ago when Patrick first started dating Robin. The whole thing just made me smile because I found how interesting it is when a scene sparks a memory and that one thing leads to something else entirely.

And where does that one thing lead to exactly? Well, I think that should be obvious at this point because all "roles" lead back to Robin. I think Patrick put it best when he said, “Somehow this tiny woman with a big mouth got under my skin and stayed.”

SON, Week of May 25th
Robin and Patrick meet at a restaurant they had planned on meeting at once before after Robin is released from her in-patient treatment. Although their meeting is a bit strained, the duo are clearly still in love. Patrick watches on anxiously as Robin reaches out to pick up Emma after they arrive home. Robin has no trouble bonding with Emma on Wednesday, May 27 and is obviously thrilled to have her daughter in her arms. Patrick is ecstatic to have his family back. Holly shows up to confront Robin after learning she advised Ethan that his mother was more than likely being dishonest with him when she told him that Robert is his father. Holly's conscience takes over and she heads to the Haunted Starr where she finally tells Luke and Ethan the truth on Friday, May 29.

ABC Hotsheet, week of May 25th
Robin returns to Port Charles! Elsewhere, now that Holly is back, it's up to Luke, Tracy, and Co. to figure out whether they believe her when she says that Ethan's father is ... Robert Scorpio! Of course, Robin's back in town this week, and she has particularly keen insight into Holly's latest claim, which places Ethan as her brother. Thanks to Dr. Scorpio, we just might have the truth on our hands by the end of the week. ... All this, PLUS: Robin gets a brand new start with baby Emma & but what about with Patrick?

SOW, via SZ, Week of June 1st
Patrick worries about Robin.

The Dish ... which is quite possibly false and should be taken with a grain of salt

Do you know if scrubs have sex this week? Is the promo for 6/9th or this week?

Promo is for this week. Sex is for 6/9. Don't know if that one is FTB or not.

Scrubs major story for the summer is the hospital. AFter reconnecting on a personal private level ,and as parents to baby Emma, they live the American dream as a happy affluent married couples with careers they love. A lot of their action will center on what happens at GH. The first story, Matt's malpractice suit will test their medical expertise as they investigate the true reason that Matt's patient dies on the table while supporting Matt who spins out of control when he is implicated in a possible murder.

A few things:
Robin/Patrick: You guys dodged two major bullets. Very lucky. Someone is watching your backs.

Little Drake is the politico's personal physician.
The Politico is having an affair with a conniving slut puppy.
Slutpuppy falls in the shower and bangs her head. At least that's the politico's story and since he beats a hasty retreat no one can say for sure if he's sticking to it.
Slutpuppy is rushed to GH which is mighty dang inconvenient for Big Drake who was planning on spending the day in the park with his two brown-eyed girls.
Little Drake says go on and have fun, I can do this.
Slutpuppy does not go gentle into that good night. The Brunette Amy Vining witnesses a mistake, or was it? in the surgery.
Its really not that big of a deal, it just killed the girl.
Little Drake decides its really a good time to drink so he drinks and finally gets some action from a local lawyer. Good thing too since he is going to need one soon.
Slutpuppy's parents are out for blood, or better yet malpractice insurance.
Politicos wife is not at all happy with her hubby and she really needs some money for a few problems of her own, so she decides the best way to get even with hubby and get her hands on his big bucks, is to send him to the big house.
It ain't looking good for Little Drake or the Politico but the DA is strangely hesistant to pursue the case.
It all works out when Big Drake and his brown-eyed girl discover the truth about why Slutpuppy died and all charges are dropped.
Now the only problem is what to do with Little Drake who has discovered that he has some similiar interests with his dear old dad.

We're baaaaack!

It's been an interesting month away from The Scrubs Hub, I think I actually went through withdrawal symptoms from not updating for so long.  I was really surprised and touched with all the wonderful notes people sent to me during the downtime about why they loved this site...it validated many of the reasons why I started the site in the first place.

One of the great things that happened during the hiatus, is that I got a new co-contributor who will be alternating weeks with me.  Michelle (machereeves) was part of the group that contributed 'The Smiley Whore Chronicles' when the site first opened, and was part of the group walking the last two AIDS Walk LA events with me.  We're both looking forward to getting a little more creative and having more fun with the site...so look for more features beyond the daily news.

Oh, and how excited are we that Scrubs will be reunited and happiness returns on Tuesday?!

Finally...right?

With all my best regards,
Amy
