1. Really not good at all. I spoke earlier about needing a trend upwards heading into sweeps and then sustaining it - this is exactly what needed not to happen
2. He's back
Are these sweep's outines from Guza?
What do you think they are attributing the lack of ratings to? (I have my ideas)
I won't be answering questions for today after this - just popped in to see how things were.
1. Guza's outlines are in play but there have been changes made along the way.
2. There was a belief that they had worked out some of the viewership issues with the move to a more balanced canvas but choppier writing in the last few weeks is having an impact. The return of Sarah Brown is below expectations.
3. As for who is safe and who isn't - the plan for moving the show forward from a business perspective (ie - the non-creative side) has been laid out clearly for Frons and his team. Now they have to enact it. (source)

While I was gone it appears there has been a big deal made out of Sam's comment to Dr Devlin, about Jason some day meeting his match. Seems some have taken this as an anvil..
Those people would be right, it was an anvil. But they have headed in the wrong direction. The anvil wasn't about Claudia it was about Dr Devlin. Pretty soon you will see that Dr Devlin is scarier than AZ, Helena and Stavros put together. Why ? because not only is he completely sane but he is also completely evil.
Jason and Sonny will heed Jerry's warning. Dr Devlin isn't scared or warned off by any threat because he doesn't care about anyone or anything. He won't be easy to beat because he has no weakness. His only interest or pleasure is winning. (source)
Is he using Sam?
No. With Sam he is keeping up the appearance of the flirty brilliant playboy Dr. That is how he competes with Patrick and "wins". Sam is a none player in the mob business because she isn't with Jason anymore. His questioning of Sam seemed harmless, but he's scoping the lay of the land with the mob.

I do like the way the actor plays him with such attitude. Any idea how long he will be around and who he will be targeting? Is he going to try and romance anyone--like Leyla?
He will interact with Leyla and Robin. He won't romance Leyla as such, she may feel as if she is being romanced. But it could be said he will "use" her to get up Patrick's nose. Patrick will start to remember that it wasn't as much fun as he thought being around Dr Devlin.
Is there a reason getting to Patrick is important to him? You mentioned "winning" as being his only concern. What does he consider "winning"? Why is Port Charles his new field of play?

Winning against Patrick has always been about medicine. Which is why he's changed his field of medicine. Notice there has been a couple of scenes where he has discussed changing fields, talked to Patrick about working on a similar case to Nikolas. Dr Devlin has suggested a different possibly more risky course of treatment. Usually that is Patricks domain.
His back story as far as what brought him to PC. That I don't know. I could spec on that but I don't want to, I'll wait to get some real information.
I'm going to ask this for Scrubbie, who has concerns:

Twins make me think that one of them will be HIV poz.
That certainly sounds like Guza's MO. But honestly I think the higher ups believe that is too risky a storyline and they won't go down that path. Which is why I haven't heard a hint of that from my source.

I have heard that it is. Robin and Carly's pregnancies will play out in parallel

I've only heard that the every day stuff like morning sickness etc. But because she is HIV+ everyone will take that kind of stuff more serious. I have heard the Carly and Robin's pregnancies will parallel each other. They will use it for some comedic relief. Which sounded weird to me but the scenario given to me was Robin gets morning sickness, Carly gets all day sickness stuff like that.
What's Carly diagnosed with on Feb 26th?
I don't know I'll ask. My information was that they would play up the morning sicknes/nausea angle for both Robin anc Carly. But it could be something more so I'll check.
Any news on what the next bit is for Patrick? The "bring him to his knees" stuff doesn't quite seem to be happening (or am I missing it)?
It hasn't come yet. Be patient. Robin and Patrick fans have a had a tough time. But this baby storyline will play out well.
when will this start to play out onscreen? Is there any sort of time frame on this?
To be honest I rarely ask "when" just "if" something is going to happen. But I was told soon so I would say by the end of March they will be bonding over the baby. There is no plans at the moment for Robin to tell Patrick he's the daddy, but it is obvious that they are still in love and the idea of a pregnant Robin isn't pushing Patrick away only closer.
Do you have any idea at all if Patrick might know for sure by say May sweeps, that he's the baby daddy?
Will this just continue to drag out and will he know sooner rather than later?
I don't know for sure. But you don't have to be an insider to figure out that reveal will happen during a sweeps period. (source)
I did not drop the one line scoops but I did say Guza is not leaving. The contract they are working on is not short term.
