Patrick informs Jason that his best chances for a full recovery are with a specialist in Seattle, Washington and wants Jason to go there as soon as possible.
The Inside Story: The Kick that Rocked General Hospital
Patrick and others work to save Nikolas' life, but in a hallucinogenic state, Nikolas longs to be with Emily. Nikolas realizes that Spencer needs him to live, but in a battle for survival Nikolas gets violent and kicks Robin in the stomach. Afterward, in the operating room Nikolas holds the hospital staff at bay with a scalpel. Nadine is able to calm Nikolas down, and pretends to inject him with a sedative in front of the others. Patrick displays paternal qualities when he insists that Robin gets checked out by Dr. Lee. Despite her love for Patrick, Robin pushes him away when he makes it clear he wants to be in his child's life. Nikolas agrees to let Ian use his experimental drug on him. (source)

FSA - they are working their way back to each other. Patrick is/will be making an effort and Robin will be moved by it.
Is Guza being held responsible for the show that's being shown right now even though they are still using scab scripts or will he have some time once the real writers come back to show what he can do?
The short answer is no, he isn't but there is more going on behind the scenes - people jockeying for position and trying to plead their case - so exactly what senior management is thinking at the moment, I'm not sure
Chat up someone said that SB and KMc had put their names into directing. On in LA and another in NYC. Have you heard this too?

I won't comment on locations but yes I've heard that.
Does this mean they'll then renew Guza's contract? For real?
You know the problem with hiring a foreign writer is he'll come in blind. He won't know the politics, he'll think ABC Disney! This can be spun as a great gig. And first thing off the bat is Guza telling him who is important and who isn't. Guza gave Pratt reels of Burton's work when they started. He was the one who told Frons how important Burton was, what a huge supercouple S&C were with Sarah.
Basically, Guza's version of the show will become the template for the new writer who will then take his word for it. The new writer will be in charge of implementing the existing SSDD. If it doesn't work we have a new scapegoat.
It's hopeless.
Don't for a moment think the writer is coming in blind. If they are who I've heard rumored, they are very bright and are leaving a sweet gig at home for this opportunity - not likely to roll over for anyone.
I have been unable to find out any information on next steps with Guza but I would fall off my chair if he was offered a long term extension

This actor (male or female) is getting very close to driving some of the higher ups crazy with their demands and constant voicing of their displeasure.

It is possibly.
Chat up you might not be able to answer this but why would the writers have Claudia act like a bigot when Robin is supposed to either treat her or a family memeber of hers. Is it just for history to get KMc and SBr in a scene together.
I don't know if Claudia is doing that but part of the reason is a reminder that there are large, educated segments of society who in theory have no problem with a doctor with HIV working in a hospital but in practice react very differently.
Gosh, that could be everyone or anyone. I wouldn't think any actor/actress is happy.
actually many are happier than most on this board would believe.
steady, well paying acting gigs are not so easy to come by and this a large segment of the cast that is happy to be working and on any given day likes the material

I wouldn't qualify it totally as SSDD but the moemntum for change that was strong in the fall has slowed down and I don't know what it will take to get it going at this rate.

I don't know if you'll get Riz backburner right now. Liz has a couple scene with Robin the week of the 17th where Robin voices some of her fears about her pregnancy to Liz.

It certainly is. I watched the shows back to back and got the episodes confused. Patrick blurts out the truth tomorrow and Wed is after Robin gets annoyed and they have that heart to heart where she tells him she loves him and why she is doing what she is doing.
