Sri did NOT try and break up Scrubs but there is no doubt in my mind that if he had tried he would have been told NO!
You guys don't really understand that in this case there's more at stake than just a silly little soap couple.
Frons is trying to turn Soap Net into a bigtime Cable network on the level of Lifetime, USA, AMC, etc. With the digital transfer coming mid-February, mainstream cable networks will be able to demand the same or very close ad rate that ABC, CBS, and NBC get. If Frons could put Soap Net in a similiar situation, they'll put his dang picture on the wall next to Walt's. Its a big, big, big deal.
Last year NSI started off bigger than anyone ever thought it would. By the end of the season they weren't sure a second season was even viable. Lots and lots and lots of research was done and the conclusion drawn was that the mid-season viewer turn-off occurred mainly because of what happened to the Scrubs storyline. That's why Frons snubbed Guza and Phelps and went outside for help with season two.
If SN has any chance of making it as a mainstream cable network they have to have original programming that commands an audience. That's what they've worked for this season and there has been a slow but steady growth in viewership. If they go with a 22 season and it maintains at present levels or hopefully grows even more, then Frons has got something to back up his claims that Soap Net can be feasible as a mainstream network. So he's not going to do, or let anyone else do, ANYTHING that has the potential of screwing with his empire building.
Frons really thinks Patrick/Robin as a team brings in viewers?
I don't know if that's exactly what he thinks. But they did a lot of research last year after NSI started so big and went out with a small whimper and the conclusion was that a lot of the viewer tune out was caused by fans disgruntled with what was done to Scrubs.
So they put them back together and that, along with other things, has brought the ratings up this year.
So while I'm not sure that Frons necessarily thinks they are the end-all, be-all, of the success of NSII, he's not totally convinced they aren't, and since he's got a bigger agenda going here he's not going to fix anything that isn't broken.
See what I mean?
Is it true KMc is pitching programming ideas? I think she mentioned it on her radio interview is it for Soapnet? Does she have Frons' ear?

I haven't heard anything about programming ideas. (Not saying that isn't true, I just haven't heard about it.) I did hear that Frons has told her she can do some of the directing in NSIII. But programming ideas, I don't know about.

NS3 begins in February, and a few surprises are in store.
There is a big twist to scrubs birth
Is the big twist about the baby or Robin?
It's actually about Robin, but it will affect the baby also in a huge way.
Robin's cocktail/meds? am I close?
a little bit close

emma samms will be on NS3

Maxie invites Jason to Robin's wedding.
LL

The baby is fine at first, but when mom develops complications so does the baby
Prior to birth or after the baby is born?
after, I'm out

Robert will die on NS and return as a ghost on GH. Anna will resume her ways with Noah and Eli.

Elizabeth has a date to the wedding and his name is not Jason!!
Nik and Nadine, and Maxie and Spin go together.

Actually it's Jason who has a date. Elizabeth goes with Lainey, Pip and Kelly.

BrattyPatty. question in your opinion if night shift was 5 days a week on soapnet. who would do better at the 11:00 spot days or ns.

Not BP, but NS is already doing better than DOOL in the 11 spot for their one night a week showing.
There are too many factors to say if they would continue to do well at 5 nights a week. The show would have to be formatted differently in terms of stories etc...

10/14
Theme of the Week
September 15----Daddy Issues
September 22----Here Comes the Bride
September29-----Mass Confusion
October 6----The Truth Always Comes Out
October 13---Is it Safe to Lie again?
October 20----Rock and Roll Lullaby
October 27---Boom
Nov 3----Boom Bang
Nov 10----Boom Boom Bang Bang
Nov 17----Here Comes the Bride Again, (and again)
Nov 24----Things return to Normal. Well, not exactly
Except the week of the 20th could be off - Robin isn't have her baby that week so what would it be about?
Its Suppose to be Robin's baby. Like I said above, I was off a week on that one. I have my suspicions that my original info was right but that when NSII was expanded by a week, some Scrubs stuff was pushed back, but its possible I was just wrong.
I apologize.
Any hints on the here comes the bride one? Is this LnL like some here have said?
Or is it the MOC?

Well, I don't want to give out much but it refers to a marriage between two people who have recently tried to marry others.(Hence the, Here comes the Bride, Again. AND AGAIN!)
I really shouldn't say. I can't give out a lot of info. The night I posted that there was just a lot of misinformation on the board and I kept trying to say no that's not right, but of course, people believe what they want to believe so that wasn't working. So I just posted this hoping people would kind of have an idea of what to expect each week and might be less likely to believe misinformation.
Don't know if it worked or not but anyway.
I don't think anyone has noticed this, but since the strike Guza has been telling stories in weekly vignettes. There's a lot of a cast integration but there's still a "big theme every week." And these just describe the themes.
That's all I need to say. I'm crawling back in my hole now.
