"When you start thinking about it, it is a big responsibility," says Thompson, weighing in on the fatherhood issue. "I can relate to that. Everybody has a certain fear -- I know I do, personally -- when it comes to committing to anything, whether it's a relationship or having a child or talking about going bungee jumping, or whatever.

"I absolutely love kids. I love being around them," Thompson admits. "I definitely want my own some day. So for me to play not wanting to have kids has been a little difficult."

• SoapNet has ordered 13 episodes of GH: Night Shift, with production beginning next month. The series will premiere on July 22nd. Frons said that while the second season of Night Shift is being led by new executive producer Lisa De Cazotte (NBC’s Passions, ABC’s All My Children, One Life To Live) and head writer Sri Rao (MTV’s What Goes On, off-Broadway’s Precipice), they are sharing the acumen and advice of Robert Guza, Jr. and Jill Farren Phelps.

Why is the pressure more on JFP than Guza? I don't get why there have been writing changes and producer changes at both of the other ABC shows, but virtually no changes at GH?
There are backstage politics at play with JFP that I'm not privy to.
In all fairness both AMC and OLTL were in greater need of changes. I remain hopeful that Frons will now be focusing his attention to fixing GH
CU, do you personally believe Frons has the talent and/or vision to do that?
My personal opinion is that he does have a good ability to identify the right people for certain positions (yes, yes, Guza sucks, I know) and that if he is truly intent on fixing GH then he will ensure he's got the best
If he's only making a half hearted effort then no, I don't believe he can do that

I have a question about that.
How does Guza accept, or even get nominated for an emmy, for htat storyline if he didn't write it.
Isn't it a violation of all kinds of great big WGA rules and regulations for Smith(or anyone else) to have made contributions to that story but not been credited for it?
There are story consultants and writers. He was the writer, the other was the consultant.
If you can answer, will what happened affect the amount of FH's participation this summer in the Scrubs story?
I don't know at this point but I remain very skeptical about the "big" story as it didn't reflect anything I had heard this spring
CU, are TPTB unhappy that JT had an emergency to take him offscreen in early sweeps. Then a vacation during sweeps and now some type of surgery. They can't be thrilled right now
Not that I'm aware of. They are well aware that emergencies - personal, medical whatever - happen and they do their best to accommodate
What is the word on FH? She OK? Or when the summer is over will she ever be back? And KMc? How is she after this mess?

Patrick's favorite hobby lands him in the hospital and in hot water with Robin.
Robin believes any progress Patrick made in proving he would be a responsible father has been lost. Until he grows up and proves he's responisble, he's just the guy who got her pregnant.

Someone is dying this summer. I don't want to say who because I'm not 100% sure the actor involved knows about it yet. I think they probably do, and if they don't know for sure, they probably won't be surprised but still, I remember a few years ago word of something like this actually broke on the internet before the actor got word and that was unfortunate so its better to not say until the actor has acknowledged himself(Or herself--dont want to drop any clues here)
The death will be as a result of mob violence.
