3/31 Heard in the Waiting Room

  • Marlena de Lacroix smells misogyny in the PPD story - "To go from the richly mature, soulful Robin Sri Rao wrote in last summer’s GH Night Shift to this brainless “postpartum” loser is so Guza, so ABC Daytime, it’s beyond contemptible."

By clicking on ‘Read More’, you understand that you will be reading the latest Scrubs-related spoilers and speculations …some of which are pretty reliable and others may be designed to incite panic/false hope in a fanbase. Enter at your own risk!!

Special thanks to the Scrubbies relaying this information…here are the Spoilers and Speculations for the day:

Expected GH Scrubs airdates (breakdowns from Lisa)
week of 3/29 - T, W, Th, F
Tuesday, March 31 – Carly remains convinced that Michael is on the road to recovery even though Patrick claims his hand movement was merely an involuntary muscle reflex.
Wednesday, April 1 – Robin reluctantly attends her first therapy session and makes the painful confession that maybe she really doesn’t want to be a mother after all.
Thursday, April 2 – Robin balks at the idea of taking anti-depressants like her psychiatrist recommends and turns to Sonny for advice. Sonny understands how Robin feels but tells her that taking medication helped greatly in treating his bi-polar disorder. Meanwhile, Robin’s condition hits home for Patrick when he discovers that a woman suffering from post-partum deliberately crashed her car with her baby inside.
Friday, April 3 – Sonny encourages Robin to start taking the anti-depressants her therapist prescribed. Patrick is frantic to find Robin. On the docks, Robin ends up in dire straits when her mind starts playing tricks on her.
week of 4/6 - M, T, W (spoiler pics)
Monday, April 6 – Patrick rescues Robin from the water and has her taken to Mercy. Patrick, Maxie and Matt worry that Robin’s near drowning wasn’t an accident but Robin insists she didn’t try to take her own life. Patrick confronts Robin over the prescription slip she ripped up. At Patrick’s urging, Robin reluctantly takes the pills her therapist prescribed.
Tuesday, April 7 - Robin bristles when Patrick brings Dr. Brown to her hospital room for a session. Robin wanders down to the docks and encounters Jason, who gives her some sound advice. Patrick, still thinking Robin was unfaithful to him in Rochester, feels slapped when he sees her embracing Jason.
Wednesday, April 8 - The rift between Patrick and Robin continues to widen. Robin decides to follow Kelly’s advice and calls Patrick to ask him to meet her in the park with Emma but Mercedes tells her he’s already there. Robin arrives at the park and sees Patrick with Elizabeth in a seemingly family moment. Upset over the sight, Robin takes off without being seen.
week of 4/13 - W,Th
Wednesday, April 15 - The tension between Robin and Patrick hits an all time high.
Thursday, April 16 - Robin and Patrick try to get back on track.

::Golden:
Soapnet's April preview: Robin survives her trip to the chilly depths of P.C. Harbor ("What?," you ask? Tune in later this week and you'll see what we mean.) only to see her relationship with Patrick continue to struggle under the weight of her post-partum depression. The tension continues this month -- and it's not helped by Robin and Patrick turning to Jason and Liz, respectively, for support. (source)

:: Pretty Reliable::
AIG none at the time of this post

:: Could be Complete Fiction::
Daytime Dish/Backup Board (source and source):
3/30
Just saying this once and not taking questions:
Robin and Patrick will not be sleeping with anyone but Robin and Patrick. No Piz affair, JnR scenes will be over after the 8th. Scrubs are in for a rough ride but no one is cheating.

Tuesday March 31:
Carly doesn't believe Patrick when he says that Michael's hand movement was involuntary.

Oh boy, if what I just heard makes it to air, this board is going to be interesting...
They aren't sure if they are going to go there though yet...
Can't stay here long
If you can't drop it can you say who it involves? TIA
It involves Jason/Liz, Scrubs, Jasam
Okay? Thanks, but still not getting it.
Ok, now remember the person who told me wasn't sure if they were actually going to go there. When Jason finds out about piz (not saying what that means either) he will NOT be happy with Liz.
why would he be. She is ruining her friend and his friends relationship!!
Well let's just say words are said and they ain't pretty.

Anything on Scrubs or Piz?
FoJMMF
Liz continues to be a friend to both
Patrick cries to Liz
Robin cries to Jason

GET JASON AND LIZ OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE SCRUBS. WHEN IS THE WRITERS GOING TO HAVE THEM COMMUNICATE AND START THE TRUST THING. HERE WE GO AGAING. PROLONGING THE LONG SAD/DEPRESSING STORYLINE.

READ FRONS WAS BUSY DATING A GUILDING LIGHT STAR. FRONS, YOU NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON MAKING IT RIGHT FOR THE FANS. GET THE SCRUBS BACK TOGETHER SOON.

ONE OTHER THING, IF YOU DON'T SIGN KIMBERLY AND JASON TO EXTENDED CONTRACT AND HAVE THEM AS A COUPLE, NO MORE GH FOR ME.

Glad someone else is seeing the misogyny! I thought I was the only one was noticing.
Robin was the only one standing outside the usual lying, cheating, sleeping around or silly portrayal of the women in GH, and the writers chose to use an illness to pull her in.

Women respond in different ways to PPD, that is a given. The writers have chosen to run along the lines of sleaze and destroy a character in the process.
Patrick cannot focus on his wife and her PPD because of the "Brad" stupidity and neither can the viewers. Third and fourth parties are unnecessary for this story line.
I am amazed someone gave the go ahead to write the story this way.

I read Marlena's article and totally agreed with her .When they started the PPD storyline I already have this gut feeling that the writer will trashed the Robin that everyone knows since she was a little girl.
The legacy character loved by viewers who is smart, strong, honest and the only character in the show who lives a decent/clean life.
Robin's character was degraded and the PPD story turned into a sleazy soap opera. It is unforgivable and I for one cannot patronize this kind of show that treats women like a piece of s.....
Not sure why GH is still keeping this writer .Now is the time to find a new writer that can bring back the GH that viewers tuned in some 45 years ago.

I agree. Although it is only a soap opera. Why trash one of the best person on the show that we all have watched grow up. GH has become so sleazy and distasteful to all women. I wouln't want my teenager to watch it now. We all understand that PPD works in different ways. I had a case of it myself. Get now writers and fire them.

I take my hat off the Kimberly in the great acting she is doing with this storyline. Keep up the good work.

Frons/Guza make it right with the Scrubs. Their is lots of angle you can go with the Scrubs. They are a young couple with a baby, that most fans would like to see around for years to come.

misogyny - what a cool word. I totally agree.

the problem is the writers have gone down such a wrong road - they don't know HOT TO FIX THIS.

I also think fixing it requires Kim re-signing her contract...

I agree my teenagers will not watch this show until the PPD is fixed; neither will my great Aunt (she is 88) and neither will I.

4 fans are gone until the whole story - PPD is over!!

WRITERS - Re-Sign Kimberly to a new extending contract. I have watched her since she come onto the Soap Scene. If she will no longer be on GH after her contract is up, I am not going to watch it anymore. I will not watch you pair Jason/Patrick with someone else other than Kimberly/Robin.

Iam very disgusted with this show as I read the destruction of long time character Robin and the very painful way she is being portray in this PPD story. The Robin that our children can relate to,the HIV+ teenage girl that worked hard to become a successful doctor.
Iam really tired of the way the writer treats all the women in this show.
The show that we used to watch with our family lost it's heart and soul and we cannot get it back
The very real problem of the show is the writing and for once GH management should listen to the comments of your viewers.
I can live without this show but can the show live without the support of their loyal and dedicated viewers ? I doubt it.

Give us a break...fake Emily with breast cancer - boring.

Jason and Sam again - boring.

Maxi and Johnny - Maxi won't do this to her new friend Lulu - the one she helped escape from the looney bin - boring

Carly, Jax, Sonny, Jason, Michael interesting wake up Michael - the brain dead kid - oh, and don't forget to age him......now if they could have done that with Natasha Richardson...wouldn't that be great?? Totally unbelieveable - you don't wake up from brain dead.

Robin PPD - unbelieveable story....way off the charts.

Patrick - the most believeable in all of this....

Luke, Ethan...give us a break - another Luke child?? or Robert child? Didn't they just do this story to Alexis with Sam?

Breaking up Scrubs...shut off the TV

The writers of GH must just go to the filing cabinet and pull out an old story line....then pick the "new" characters - and tell the same boring story.

Fire all the writers; and the head-writer - and start anew. At least we could then forgive a "new" writer totally disrespecting a long time character - we can say they didn't know better!!

What have you done to Robin?????
