*ABC's belt tightening will continue through the 4th Quarter on the New York shows. GH has an additional revenue stream, which allows it more wiggle room than the other shows. GH's ad rates are also higher.
Yes and no. Yes, belt tightening will continue, no GH is not all right. There has been a budgetary holocaust behind the scenes at GH because of the huge expenditures and they have people on the floor at that show watching every penny, veteran salary and ratings point. It is a constant war between actors, writers, producers and network people over different ideas and storylines and since everybody is out for themselves, things just get worse.

3/14
Good Friday night SD,

How are you guys? I'm no longer an employee of the Mouse. I can't say I'm sorry either. I'm going out to dinner but thought I'd let you guys know, that what has been laid out for the show's direction for the last month, is being completely re-hauled. I'll be back for a lil bit tomorrow, but things were really going crazy Thursday in a brainstorming session and the ratings are a real concern, especially with the overnight of this past week coming in.
I will tell you for sure that viewer backlash against Scrubs PPD, SpinWinMax, LL2 and JaSam has been extreme and anyone who tells you different is lying.
Fans love Robin, really like anything she's doing, they ARE NOT HAPPY with the fact that Patrick and Robin aren't being given any happiness, even short term with their new baby. They love KMC, she gets so much mail, and really she never gets negative mail, but fans hate how the writers are portraying her in this story. They don't think Patrick has been supportive enough and are really unhappy.
Can't tell you guys how badly the Toxic sphere storyline was received by fans. Never has viewer outrage equaled the disgust as this storyline, except the death of A.J. and the shooting of Michael last year. The violence of the show gets the most mail, viewer complaints about the violence are as great as I've ever seen.

I told you what was coming for Patrick/Robin/Elizabeth/Robin’s multitude of men.
What I said about Scrubs starts playing out next week.

I HOPE THAT ROBIN TELLING JASON IS A BIG FAT JOKE THAT SHE IS NOT HAPPY AND DOESN'T LOVE EMMA. IT BETTER BE BECAUSE OF THE PPD. ONCE AGAIN GUZA IS PLAYING WITH FIRE BY DOING THIS. ONE STEP FROM LOSING A VERY SUPPORTIVE GH FAN. WHO LOVES THE SCRUBS.

ONCE AGAIN GUZA GET THE SCRUBS BACK TO BEING HAPPY WITH SOME BUMPS IN THEIR MARRIAGE, NOT THE MESS YOU HAVE WRITTEN TO THEIR SCRIPTS.

I hope they do something to save the program. I can'believe what thet are doing to Robin and Patrick they are just destroying them terrible thing to do. We who love them together don't want to watch anymore. GOODBYE YOU LOST US>

I don't understand WHY TPTB haven't fired the HW yet! I mean a woman who allowed her kids to live in violent and one ends up in a coma GETS TWO HONEYMOONS and a strong woman living with a deadly diease and who almost dies having her baby WE the fans get NO honeymoon scenes and NO happiness, SHE has been unhappy since before the second wedding!
Soaps are love in the afternoon, NOT VIOLENCE in the afternoon and stupid arse scoobydo storylines with jason, sam, maxie and those two annoying GEEKS

Today I read an article in Despair in the Afternoon that gives me chills in my bone.A very disturbing storyline regarding a mother suffering from PPD ,forgetting/leaving her innocent child in the diner, lying about it to her husband , running away and ended up in a bar with a stranger. Is it not abandoning a child and be an easy target for kidnappers a wake up call for a smart doctor to accept that she is very sick and needs help? This insensitive ,degrading ,demeaning and sloppy way of writing PPD storyline does not help mothers everywhere to admit that they are suffering from this illness .There is no good lesson to learn for the viewers to continue watching this kind of show. This is the reason the ratings is hitting rock bottom and will continue to lose all the dedicated/supportive viewers that they have for the past 45 years.I sincerely hope that the GH management and writers will look back to what this show was about some 30 years ago when they have excellent writers that gives us a reason to watch from generations of mothers/daughters/granddaughters

I so agree with you anonymous writers. I hope WRITERS of GH that you are reading all the FAITHFUL Fans of GH and are taking notes. I have watch this show with My Mom and Grandmother. I would not want my Daughter and Granddaughter watching this show.

If this is want all soaps on ABC is going to, I say goodbye. I want have to worry about using my DVR anymore.

Why is it that the writers on this show are targeting women and children? Why not write positive stories about strong ,independent,
career women and happy ,healthy children and maybe for once pick on the men that you have on GH.How is it that Robin for the past 20 years or so in her life suffered all of these : thought she lost both her parents at an early age ,contracted HIV ,kidnapped, shot, had a difficult pregnancy, almost die after giving birth and now suffering from PPD and what? almost raped and will try to hurt herself?Did anyone watch ER's episode last Thursday night? Doctors losing a patient but saving a few lives because of it. There is a moral and ethical lesson to learn. What did we learn so far with the PPD storyline?Nothing except endangering a child and a mother who is running around in circle for months not accepting the truth. Perhaps Jason and Kimberly should try primetime because their excellent talent is being wasted in this crappy and hopeless show.

I agree with the anonymous writer before mind. This is very Stupid how the writers want to keep women watching GH. You know their is only about 1 percent or less men watching.... I wonder why they are putting Robin in such much tradegy and she has been great. Don't you think us fans deserve to watch a Little Happiness for her. I hope Jason and Kimberly stay on GH, because they will hopefull help the show from going off the air.

But,also I hope Jason and Kimberly appear together in some primetime soap....I thought they were great GH NS.

Not sure that the writers experienced or know that true love does exist and being married to the same person for 30 ,40 and even 50 years happens in real world. Viewers will tune in like me if you decide to go this route than a 6 months marriage and trying to break them apart because this is soaps you know. There are many happy and content married couples that exist and writers can learn to accept it.It can be a Patrick and Robin's marriage with baby Emma and if they decided to leave the show let them go as a family and move to another city. It's a suggestion but a good one.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE SITE (GHOFS) WERE THEY HAVE ROBIN AND THE GUY AT THE BAR KISSING. THAT'S HOW FAR GUZA HAS GONE. IT IS DISGUSTING.

GUZA/FRONS IF YOU ARE READING THIS THERE ARE ACTUALLY MARRIED COUPLES ON OTHERS SOAPS ON OTHER CHANNEL THAT THEY ALLOW THEM TO BE MARRIED WITH SOME PROBLEMS FOR MORE THAN (2) minutes, many years - BIG ONES. BUT NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO THE SCRUBS.

I GUESS YOU ARE TRYING TO SEE HOW FAR YOU CAN PUSH THE SCRUBS AND GH FANS. I will let you know that you are losing.

scrubs37 March 16, 2009 at 2:08 PM

I hate this storyline...Why does everyone else get a love scene but Robin and Patrick...The head writer needs to go now. I've watched this show since the 80s and it used to be good.
