3/12 Heard in the Waiting Room

  • Serial Drama wonders why Patrick, who is worried about Robin's mental state, would continuously put Robin in the position of being home alone with Emma all day
  • Despair in the Afternoon thought the scenes where Matt was the voice of reason in the PPD storyline were fantastic
  • The Wub Tub gets Carolyn Hennesy's reaction to the announcement of being cast in Courtney Cox Arquette's 'Cougartown'.  Interesting how GH's supporting actors are being poached by primetime shows...

You've all been told that Prospect is not a pretty place these days. It's going to be even less pretty come next week when the cast returns to set after being off this week. Ratings hit a crucial low point. TPTB stepped in several weeks ago (Frons even has someone set side monitoring for him) but with the latest round of ratings, more cuts to storylines and cast have been ordered. Cast will return next week and all except a few will be dealing with a complete change or turnaround in storyline direction.
Scrubs. Comments to the PPD storyline have caused an uproar. Frons is monitoring this storyline VERY closely but is not and has not mandated that the couple be "saved" at all costs. This is Guza's baby. He is telling the story as he sees fit for daytime TV. In a few short weeks Robin's PPD is addressed--not resolved completely--- and in the meantime Scrubs next big hurdle arrives-- clashing over Michael's care. Patrick is not going to take being proved wrong by Robin--and behind his back at that-- all that lightly.

GUZA if you think that the Scrubs scene is for daytime TV, you have some lose screws.

Now, you are going to have them separated. They had no LOVE scene after the wedding, not even an attempt and now this.

You are full of sh.......

Like one fan said, the world is full of angst. Thought Soaps were for Love, Hapiness and Caring.

You have blew it totally. Keep the SCRUBS on this show, lose other people or LOSE FANS

My friends already stopped watching. I just read the updates as watching is pointless. I really think the writers resent this particular couple's popularity.
The writers are pushing the other couples hoping they can replace Scrubs.

NOT WORKING......

GH SUCKS. GETS SOME NEW WRITERS. GET ROBIN SOME HELP. KEEP THIS FAMILY TOGETHER. NO TRIAL SEPARATION. MAYBE SOME LOVE MAKING, SINCE ROBIN FEELS NOT CONNECTED TO PATRICK. GET ROBIN'S PARENTS BACK ON THE SHOW.

FOR ONCE GUZA, DO WANT THE FANS WANT. NOT WHAT YOU EGO WANTS TO DUE. THE OTHER SOAPS ARE BEATING YOU BADLY.

Why is it that GH writers are targeting innocent children in all their storyline? Mother forgetting and leaving her child in a diner ,putting a boy in a coma ,kidnapping a child by the mob. What kind of world do we live in now that even afternoon soap opera is very unsettling to watch.GH viewers are stay at home mothers with childern in school. retired mothers who successfully raised happy and healthy children.Perhaps the writers need to see a shrink and ask himself why is he writing insensitive and cruel storyline about children.I know this is just soap opera and all the characters are fiction but with economy spiralling and if we are going to watch this crappy show I would rather go to the mall and spend my hard earned money and buy myself something that can make me happy and content.Hey this is just one opinion of a previous viewer and might not help with the ratings if I decided to go back and watch it again if they improve the way they treat innocent children.

FRONS NEEDS STEP RIGHT IN AND TAKE OVER WRITING GH SCRIPTS. LIKE THE PREVIOUS PERSON WROTE, IT IS ONLY SOAP, BUT THIS SOAP IS NOT RIGHT. THE WRITERS ACT LIKE THEY DON'T WANT TO KEEP ANY FANS. HE/THEY ACT LIKE THAT THE SCRUBS ARE THEIR ENEMY AND THEY ARE ONE OF THE ONES THAT ARE KEEPING US WATCHING THE SHOW.

NO HAPPINESS, CARING OR LOVING IN THIS SHOW. LOTS OF MOB SCENE.

The title of this show is General Hospital so the storyline should be about day to day struggle of doctors and nurses with their lifes and stories about their patients like NS2.Way back we had good compelling stories like Robin contracting HIV at a young age ,BJ's heart transplant ,Monica's breast cancer and even Patrick's exposure to AIDS while operating on a patient. These are real and honest stories and there is a lesson to learn for their viewers. This is what we as viewers are missing and perhaps GH writers should seriously think about.

Unfortunately, the writers don't give a hoot about what the viewers think...
Thy may soon change the name of the soap as the non-hospital staff are in the forefront stories...

I was told the scenes yesterday with little Emma and Robin was seriously disturbing and heartbreaking.Children especially newborn babies needs to be physically connected in their early lives, hugged and be loved. My reaction to this issue is personal and the writers are not clear and consistent with the symptoms of PPD.As I comment before PPD story can be a true and compelling story to tell but the writers need to get all the facts straight and write a truthful story for the viewers to learn about this illness.

I read Serial Drama's article and my heart aches for baby Emma. The PPD storyline should have been dealt with head on after the hospital crisis by the writers. When Robin admitted all the mistakes she did with baby Emma ,taking a sick child out in the blizzard ,getting out of a broken down car into the woods ,putting the child in the tree and sending her to the hospital with Maxie .What did the writers say? Everything makes sense to Patrick instead of having Robin face the reality of all the mistakes she had made ,start with the treatment and recovery. Writers think that they can dragged the storyline for another one or two months and the viewers will not care what they are writing and hey the viewers might even enjoy it and watch it.Seriously ?what are we a bunch of morons. This PPD storyline and what they are doing to this child is personal to me.

OK, so maybe Patrick will discover that Robin has a brain tumor (she hasn't had that yet, has she??) and thst is the reason that supposedly responsible adults have allowed her to "put Emma in a tree" (irrational); "not touch her baby" (maybe PPD); "fight with her husband since the day they got back from their honeymoon (could be a slight nervous breakdown - not able to give up her life)....but, hey, wasn't this the girl looking for DNA amongst all the eligible males in Port Charles and ended up getting pregnant by accident??

I know this is serial soap drama....but, this is ridiculous!! I'm ready for the break up and I hope Patrick gets FULL custody of the baby that Robin wanted with all her heart!!

Anonymous,  March 12, 2009 at 4:39 PM

THE SCRUBS DESERVE SOME HAPPINESS. NOT A BREAKUP. PATRICK IS AS BLIND TO THIS AS ROBIN. DO NOT TAKE A BABY FROM IT'S MOTHER. PATRICK IS NEVER HOME, ONLY FOR A FEW HOURS EACH DAY. HE CANNOT TALK. HIS HOSPITAL IS BURNT DOWN.

THIS WHOLE STORYLINE IS WRITTEN TERRIBLE. FROM THE DAY THEY GOT MARRIED. NO LOVE SCENE OR EVEN CLOSE.

NO HAPPINESS AFTER ALL THE YEARS THE SCRUBS HAS FOUGHT TO BE TOGETHER. AND ROBIN WANTING A BABY AND THIS IS HOW THE WRITERS REWARD HER.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE WRITTEN SOAP COMPARED TO THE OTHERS ON ABC. NEED NEW WRITERS. WHERE ARE YOU FRONS. SAVE THE SCRUBS FOR THE SAKE OF THE FANS.

I think I will turn my attention to Gigi and Rex on OLTL - they have issues...but, there is also LOVE, in the afternoon

If there is any question in the minds of TPTB that the fans are sick and tired of the TRASH/GARBAGE they are writing..... these comments today should make it quite clear that we have had enough of their stupidity... if they intend for GH to continue they better wake up.. it's not the actors/cast....they have great actors....Robin and Patrick could/would have been "Couple of the year" except for the awful material they were forced to act on...they have undeniable talend and CHEMISTRY...
Guza never knows when to stop....he starts a story line and if it's bad...he just continues to drone on and on....like he is going to make us like it whether we want to or not....not realizing we are thinking fans and he can't just decide for us what stupid thing we will watch...
He needs to realize he needs to please the audience or lose the show...
So what will it be...WE KNOW ROBIN AND PATRICK ARE GREAT ACTORS, HAVE GREAT CHEMISTRY AND ARE A TERRIFIC COUPLE...WHY DOESN'T HE?
