3/10 Heard in the Waiting Room

  • Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS awareness day. In 2005, girls represented almost half of the AIDS cases reported among teens. HIV/AIDS is a leading cause of death for both African-American and Hispanic women in the United States, and African-American women are 23 times more likely to contract the disease than white women. Look for testing and roundtable discussion events in your area.
  • The Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares event last night raised $325,000, We Love Soaps has a review of what happened
  • TV Guide Canada lists Kimberly McCullough as one of the top actresses to watch, Robin and Patrick as one of the top duos, and Robin endangering Emma's life as one of the top soap moments this week
  • Despair in the Afternoon asks "Is this a story about postpartum depression or is it a story about a family’s expectations and roles after they have a baby?"  and why they never discuss the important things.

Do you have any info on KMc and JT?
KMc is very excited about what is coming up between her character and Sonny and Carly. The PPD will be over shortly. Brad is just Scrubs angst. She likes the angst, as does JT. They are having fun with all the fighting and sometimes crack one another up immediately after scenes. They are neat people.

Robin spirals out of control. Who will be able to save her?
Patrick confides in Liz about Robin.

Tuesday, March 10:
Patrick and Robin disagree about Michael's treatment.

I am so glad JT and KMC are having fun with their role.

Do you know who is going to save Robin, hope it is her husband(Patrick) not some stranger.

When is the PPD over?

I hope the writers and everyone involved in this storyline reads the comments and realized that without all this viewers their show will not succeed and the ratings will not improve if they do not change the way they write the PPD issue. I totally agree with the Despair in the Afternoon columm.I made a comment in the 3/9 post and will repeat again that the issue needs to be dealt with in a very sensitive way.Rape if that's where the writer is going with the story should not be condone and has to stop .It is demeaning and degrading to PPD victims.

I hope at the very least, Karen Harris looks at the poll on this site and reads why people are upset. She seems to understand Scrubs and maybe she can give them more heart in her episodes.

I don't blame Kimberly and Jason for enjoying the opportunity to finally work with some dramatic material (after the nonsense last year), but this storyline is setting up to be along the lines of Night Shift 1, and we're beginning to not recognize these characters again.

We can tune out again, just like we did back then.

Does the GH writers and everyone involved in the PPD storyline have professional/medical advisers telling them how to deal with this illness? Maybe GH writers should take a page from Sri Rao ( GH NS2 )and learn from him or learn from the viewers who actually knows the problem. It will save heartache and money if you want to save the show.

The actors involved are doing a great job with what was given to them .The storyline should have been more realistic and can be a great story to tell in a very respectful way.Even if the story is fiction my heart goes out to the baby who was so much wanted from the start by Robin and loved by both parents I hate to see this happen in real life to a child .All of Robin's family should have been involved in the storyline .Anna ,Robert ,Mac . Matt's advice to Patrick was the only one that make sense in all of this story.

GH and its writers have the opportunity to cash in on 2 great actors/actresses as far as the soap world goes. Great couples always save the show and GH is fortunate enough to actually have a couple with great chemistry who can pull this off.
Unfortunately, I don't think they care....

I agree the writers are using these (2) great character so wrong. I hope that really read the polls. I feel that they will be losing many fans after this storyline. Kimberly and Jason have a great chemistry and the writers are destroying it. Sometimes I think they would make a great couple in real life.

RAPE should never be enter into this storyline. They(writers) will lose valuable fans if that happen, including me.

I hope the writers understand that PPD is not like they have wrote it in the sweep. They are ruining a great Soap.

The mob scene are more realistic the than the hospital scene and the name of the show is General Hospital, not Mob show.

I stopped watching GH a long time ago, back when Frisco left Felicia for the last time. I saw a Patrick/Robin discussion/argument on Soapnet and have not stopped watching since. If that goes, I will follow also, but it was good while it lasted...

I know this site is about Robin and Patrick; but, I can't believe I am going to say this....I actually am liking Carly better than Robin.

They are trashing the character of Robin....and Scrubs is DEAD....move on. Robin's actions can no longer be forgiven.

She drives to NYC to "consult" on Michael....Carly got it right - "she should go home to her own child".

The writers and producers are loosing viewers and GH will be cancelled.

As writers of this show it is very important to establish a relationship with your viewers that translates in something they believe and trust.Robin is a legacy character who is HIV+ and currently suffering from PPD.Barhopping, drinking in the middle of the day, flirting and accepting a date is irresponsible, insensitive and sloppy writing of GH.I stopped watching the show after Emma was found in the tree.A friend told me that she read the episode today with Robin was the worst.Good thing I dont watch the show anymore ,it will just depress me.
