The lackluster ending to the summer's Eli/Noah switch story seemed like a huge letdown to viewers who were overjoyed to see Finola Hughes and Rick Springfield spotlighted in a story of their own.

"With both Finola and Rick, there were availability issues," explains GH headwriter Robert Guza, Jr when asked about the abrupt ending. "But I am very pleased to be able to report to you that during the fall, both of them have a fairly extended period of availability."

Guza hints that Noah kind of liked the attention he got on that stage while posing as Eil - and he may feel a hint of yearning for that way of life.

"That rush was a hard thing to forget," the scribe adds. "So when Noah goes back to his regular life opening up people's brains, it doesn't have the same attraction it once had. I loved the whole side of Anna. Who would have thought that Anna Devane, super agent, was also a groupie? We are going to do more with the characters and perhaps, not for sure, with Eli."

And what about Anna's "other" man, Robert? "Let's put it this way," says Guza, "if Robert Scorpio were to find out that Anna were sniffing around a rock star or a neurosurgeon, how long do you think Robert Scorpio would stay away?"

Soap, you rock! Is that your subtle way of saying that tiic are very invested in Peyla? Just tell us, we have been beat down this week and I think the truth will go along way.
Okay, they asked NB to sign a contract for a reason. Now either they have plans for Leyla/Patrick/Robin or they have some other story in mind for NB. In any event, she is on contract and though these days contracts mean nothing. The show isn't contractually obligated to the actor, the actor though IS contractually obligated to the show. So they have 13 weeks to pull something out of the hat for her to see how she works on the canvas. I think they'll use her with Patrick as much as they can right now and depending on fan feedback, they'll either move her into another story or keep her sniffing around Scrubs.

From all I have heard, Scrubs is where it's at. They are loved and it certainly seems like they are wanted by TPTB. But for whatever reason Leyla looks to be a thorn in Robin's side in the coming weeks. And she may never leave this storyline, but eventually, Guza will have another brilliant idea and she'll be moved elsewhere. During this time though, the fanbase needs to keep the fan mail flowing to JT and Kim. Don't become complacent - that is the wrong thing to do.

NB and her character are in this storyline whether fans like it or not, and she maybe here for a short time, or she could be here for a longer period of time. We won't know that until the story starts to play out. But, you guys have to believe that Scrubs are strong enough to overcome Leyla and anyone else who comes in the middle of their story. And you know that there will be someone else after Leyla, eventually. S&C anyone??

This is a soap staple and every couple will go through it, just don't abandon ship too soon. Guza is going to throw a lot of stuff their way, and they will be tested, I'm sure. He's done it every pair on this show, it's nothing new. But you guys have to be vocal and show your support for Scrubs - through the good and the bad.

Some nice Jason/Robin scenes for you old timers. A little Patrick/Jason showdown.
Patrick/Leyla maybe going a little further than some would like but I haven't heard about anything serious-long term when it comes to them. Patrick is a bit AWOL for a while after the breakup.
Some unfriendly Robin/Leyla scenes coming.
Jason is encouraging Robin to do what she wants with her life, post breakup.
Robin just gets fed up with Patrick's wondering eye ways..
Robin tells Patrick that she wants more then he's willing to give. Recent events have mad her realize that. Theres a bit of Leyla talk. But Robin also goes on to insist that it's more then that, that Leyla is like an example of Patrick's problem. He's not ready to let all that go. He still needs fast cars and flirting and Robin needs committment and that means someday marriage and yes a family. Theres a lot of hurt feelings and anger. It's sad too.
Can you give us some hint as to how long this lasts -- is it a permanent break or is there light at the end of the tunnel? And when you say that Patrick/Leyla may go farther than some want -- what do you mean? Does he sleep with her?

Patrick will be back and forth on Robin/family but you will see his love for Robin still there.
Their break up is a plot point for Robin to be in the mob s/l.
They will come together again after a certain victim dies.
Robin will have more upcoming scenes with different people.Patrick,not so much.
They will fight and say a lot of things they mean and really want to take back.
They will be hurting and discussing their failed relationship to others.
Robin realizes what she wants as Patrick slowly realizes it's what he wants.
