• Gloria Reuben will reprise her primetime role of Jeannie Boulet (one of the few HIV+ characters on television) on ER. "Reuben, who left in 1999 when she found her storyline too depressing and one-note, returns to the ER on Jan. 10, when her character needs treatment for her HIV-infected son. She initially clashes with the staff over her child's care, but eventually allows Dr. Greg Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) to help her through the difficult time." (source)

Patrick pushes the adoption angle for Robin this week. Robin admits she has no idea why she needs to do this ASAP. Patrick brings up the risks of her giving birth and mentions the adoption process will give her time to change her mind because it seems as if she's racing into this decision to have her own baby. She tells him she doesn't want to adopt a child but would prefer one that's really hers. He's worried she's doing it to fill the void left by their relationship. She slaps him and accuses him of being a manipulator. Patrick tells her to not rule out adoption. Robin heads out and meets with Lucky.

SI, I know you can't give out any information, but of what you know so far do you think sweeps is shaping up to be great or to suck?
From what I've seen and heard I think it'll be good. I look forward to big events and the cast interacting. I also try to keep in mind that not every story will be resolved just because it's sweeps. I think posters online tend to have huge expectations for sweeps and wind up being disappointed when their favorite story or biggest concern isn't resolved. The show is a serial drama and once your favorite character or couple's issues are resolved you run the risk of them being backburned. That's not something I want for my favorites.

Why does Lucky turn Robin down?
He tells her his life is complicated. He doesn't think he could be away from his own child because as it is right now he's not allowed to see his son. He also thinks this is a rash decision on her part because she and Patrick broke up. (source)

They see each other and she tells him about her quest to have a baby and he wishes her luck and tells her he's sure she'll be a great mom. She tells him about her bad luck finding a donor and she starts joking around about him but before she can ask, he tells her no, he's not an option. (source)

Why does he say, he's not an option?
His life is too dangerous and he would want to be a hands-on father. He would want to have a family and love the mother of his children. (source)

He tells her he's honored by the request. Spinelli becomes emotional as he tells her how he never knew his father because he was the product of a ONS. His mother got tired of him and gave him to his grandmother. He spent the first half of his life not knowing the girl he knew to be as his sister was actually his mother. Once the truth came out, she stopped coming around and never contacts him now. His grandmother resented him after her daughter stopped all contact with them. He tells her while he thinks she'd be a wonderful mother, her child might miss out on having their father in their life. He thinks any child would want a hands-on father who is good, smart and strong like Stone Cold. Spinelli agrees to be a donor and try to be a father but he really doesn't feel ready. She thanks him and tells him she needs to rethink her decision. (source)

Insider, what are the Scrubs scenes for the week of the 22nd about? Thanks.
The scenes on Wednesday and Thursday are mostly about Nikolas. Nikolas goes in Wednesday for tests. They discuss symptoms etc. After Nikolas and Spinelli have their scenes, Patrick says he saw them talking and wonders if she tried to talk him to donate. Robin tells him Spinelli was more than willing but she turned him down. He tells her she's relieved she's come to her senses. She gets angry and that's when she sets off to Jason. Friday they see each other after Jason has turned her down. She tells him she's giving up trying to find a donor. He is relieved when she suddenly gets an idea for the perfect person. That's it for them that week. (source)

Facts about sweeps:
The ball on sweeps doesn't begin until 11/8.
People are at Wyndamere until 11/16.
The Thanksgiving episode will be a repeat of Luke and Laura's wedding from last November.
On 11/23 there will be no GH.
Solid reunions for Robin/Patrick and Lulu/Logan.
Couples who will come together as a result of sweeps are Skye/Ric and Georgie/Spin. The latter will be short-lived. (source)

Patrick will continue to be baffled by her pursuit of having a baby and will continue to sandbag her where he can. He is unwilling to admit his reasons for doing so - he thinks he's trying to "protect" her.
They will get back together and hurtle towards parenthood together but it is a bumpy road for a while. (source)
