Soaps.com: What are fans going to see as the biggest difference between GH and GH Night Shift?
Minae: They are going to notice that it has more of an edge. Also, each episode will have a beginning and an end. (source)
SID: Terri summarized Night Shift article - Meg Bennett is the one speaking. She says she just wrote the fifth episode. The series begins with an explosion. Patrick is injured while Jason/Spinelli dodge police questions about a gunshot wound to Spinelli's foot. Meg says the difference is that NS moves faster and there are more scenes. She adds that there are stories told over arcs, while some elements are contained in singular episodes. She says they tried to write the show as it's the middle of the night, and how exhausted people are. Most episodes will end with the sun rising. The "stellar cast" is mentioned, but SID only notes Billy Dee Williams and the newbies. Meg says "The casting is so so good." She says BDW plays a worldly weather characters who's wonderful. And they have this new core group of young nurses under Ephiphany's nursing program and 2 really hot young doctors. "All these kids are really amazing! I didn't think when we first started talking about the series that they could get people that would be that good. But they really are!" Says it'll air Thursday 11pm and air for 13 weeks. (source)

Man, all this Scrubs loving and excitment is just thrilling, isn't it? I cannot wait for their new storylines with Eli/Noah and Anna (Nona? LOL), and also NS! Excitement about to commence. :-)
