Night Shift Episode Titles and Synopsis:
July 12 Episode 1: "Frayed Anatomies"
Robin and Patrick are assigned the night shift at General Hospital. They must deal with Jason and Spinelli who have been involved in an accidental shooting. Patrick is later admitted as a patient due to an explosion. Robin meets a pregnant patient. Coop and Maxie find themselves in compromising situation. (source)

Regarding Jason (Steve Burton) for the week of 7/2:
Guza could not do NS without his favorite mob enforcer. So he found a way to get him working at the hospital. Jason & Spinelli are sentenced to work at GH as janitors due to an accident of sorts.
Jason will be quite the busy man on NS.
Jason will have a young blond nursing student with a crush on him. Much to the dismay of his new sidekick Spinelli.
Jason will be re-establishing his friendship with Robin. From what I've seen so far it's a way to integrate Jason into the hospital setting and help Robin deal with her past.
Look for Jason/Liz/Jake on the rooftop of General Hospital. The set will be used for Robin and Patrick next week. Sam and Lucky may wish they had some community service to perform. (source)
