Night Shift Episode Titles and Synopsis:
Episode 8 (airing August 30): "Employee of the Month" The looming takeover of the hospital has the staff desperate to find out who is pulling the strings at Med-Cam and whether their jobs will be safe should the sale go through. Meanwhile, work is the last thing on Maxie's mind after she learns that heart surgery may be the only way to cure her mystery illness. (source)
Episode 9 (airing September 6): "Gutter Ball" Patrick's secret surgery on Lainey's uninsured dad may be a rare good deed on his part, but it could also be bad news for the hospital once nosy Jolene gets wind of Dr. Drake's illegal action. Meanwhile, Epiphany has something to say about Toussaint's past...and she plans on saying it to a lot of people. (source)

Robin/Patrick/Leyla:
- Robin insists to Patrick that he's just not ready for the type of committment she is. She ends things. Robin regrets it later on but she thinks it's too late when she catches Patrick with Leyla.
- Patrick attempts to make ammends with Robin himself but she remains cold and refuses to give him a chance. Patrcik leaves hurt and angry.
- Robin continues to butt heads with Leyla at work.
- Robin talks to Georgie about giving love a second chance. Even though Patrick and Robin are split up, she insists she wouldn't give up what she had with Patrick. And urges Georgie to take a chance.
- Robin seeks out her options and what her current medical condition is. (source)

Patrick tells Robin how he really feels about her, which only makes things worse for him. Robin and Patrick cannot reach an understanding, so Robin walks away from their relationship.

None whatsoever. She has quite a bit of time left on her contract. Guza and Frons are both very interested in the HIV+ baby story although I think they still have different ideas on how it should play out.
Will Guza ever allow Patrick to be totally in love with Robin and live together at least?
I think so.
Guza had a plan when he put all this in motion that basically Frons has shot down. I won't even go into what the plan was because no one would believe me anyway and since its not going to happen its not worth the effort it would take to type it. But a lot of what you're seeing now was set in motion as part of Guza's original plan. I think now that its definite that Patrick will be the father of Robin's baby, philandering Patrick will settle down somewhat. You can thank Frons for that one.
So the yahoo Patrick has become is all due to Frons? Guza wants him settled?
No Guza wanted him to be a yahoo so that Robin would turn to someone else. Its not happening but that was the original plan. Frons said no.
Frons, for all of his faults, actually wants the HIV+ story to be handled responsibly. Guza wants to do it, but I Think he's a little less detail oriented if you know what I mean. Its going to be handled responsibly. You can thank Frons for that.
How can guza want liason but also want him as Robin's baby father? That makes no sense.
Guza's first choice for a story for Jason would be the father of Robin's baby. Not because he wants Jason and Robin. He just wants Jason in the HIV baby story.
He much prefers Liason to Jasam. I don't really know what he'd choose if he were faced with J/R vs. Liason but I'm not at all sure that Jason being the father of Robin's baby included Jason and Robin being a long-term couple so the two things really don't have a lot to do with one another.
As Robin's baby story progresses, look for Jason to start playing a bigger role in it. Robin turns to him when she can't talk to Patrick. Jason encourages her to do what she wants.
And this is how Guza and Frons compromisepretty much. Guza wanted to do more with Jason and Robin but that is not happening now. He will be a consistent sounding board for her when she feels like Patrick can't understand.
well if they broke up, then I'm confused as to why she needs Jason because Patrick doesn't understand.
they are broken up,however it doesn't stop Patrick from trying to get a rise out of her. He's against her being a mother, not so much because he doesn't want her to be a mother but he's angry that she chose that over him. He ends up saying things out of hurt and anger that he shouldn't.
Scrubs will be dealing with hospital issues and their "non" relationship. Jason and Robin will be each others sounding board. The pregnancy is pushed back. Originally it was set for November reveal but the mob war will be front and center and they felt it didn't gel with the rest of the canvas.
The mob is front and center. There isn't much romance/relationship stories. Jason and Robin bond throughout sweeps.
Its not a romance just a friendship they both turn to.
Robin does get involved with the mob war through Jason. She plays a role as well.

Patrick/Robin still the story.
Leyla is there for angst.
