  • An interesting article on whether soaps can survive the WGA strike (source)
  • I ran across this article which included one woman's account (halfway down the page) of how her HIV planned pregnancy affected her family and other's reaction to it. It's an interesting read...

So, ratings don't matter after all and they are continuing with their pre-sweeps story plans featuring the people they always planned to feature. Sarah Brown will take care of Feb. sweeps?
Ratings matter tremendously but what are they going to do?
I told you last week Frons had a complete meltdown when final sweeps ratings were released. Sweeps bombed, he can't fire the headwriter, he can't call him in and tell him to fix it, he can't hire someoen new. That 1.2 in the 18-34 bracket probably cost the show a fortune. But right now its all but impossible to change things

Complete meltdown over the final numbers is overstating it - quite a bit. He has been apprised on a regular basis what the numbers were and certainly was not surprised at the final week's performance. The numbers were exactly what they were projected to be after the first two weeks.
GH was a 1.0 in 18-34 the last week of sweeps and a 1.4 in 18-49.
Thanks CU. Very Happy
OH, wait a minute. I don't know about this other stuff but I heard about the Frons meltdown as well. I think that's accurate. The final number for the sweeps period was a 1.1 in the 18-34 age group(that's the average of the four weeks period). That's the biggest single factor ni the determination of ad revenues for the next three months and it will likely cause about a 30% loss of revenues. It was horrible and yes, I have it from very good sources, that he was very upset.
He was upset but he has been upset for most of October and November. I wouldn't qualify it as a meltdown but I guess that's just my interpretation.
Yes the average was 1.1 - not 1.2 but I was referring to the final week's performance.
And your number is pretty accurate - that's about the cost of the poor performance. (source)

:: Could be Complete Crap Fiction::
Soap Dish Anon:
12/15
the new year
patrick/robin : baby make three!
robin and patrick make love
robin is pregnant but ask kelly to make it look like the father

more details to come (source)

There are two killers. Coop is one, Logan is not and neither is Spinelli. (source)

Robin is not attacked and the premonition SL has been dropped. She will get pregnant by AI and the father will be a very willing Patrick. They will be back together and happy and Patrick's kid issues will be mostly glossed over. CarJax will play into their story somewhat but not in a major way and mostly for Carly angst since she is having trouble conceiving and they do receive AI at the same time. There is no sperm switch SL. Do not expect a big air time jump for Scrubs. The SL will play out and be promoted but the mob SL will take major precedence through out sweeps (source)

if you have longterm plans- are Patrick and Robin a couple when she gets pregnant.
Yes, they are and will be.
Thnak you! How about Patrick will Noah be around to help ease his fear of fatherhood? thanks
There are no plans for RS to return long term. (source)

Do you know when Scrubs reunite? December? January? Feb? Thanks!
Last one. They are back to being an offical couple by early/mid Jan. (source)

12/16
Robin will want to go the anon donor route because she thinks Patrick is insincere about wanting a kid after all.Maxie blames Mac for Georgie's death, Spin will try to help her. (source)

A surprising and slow forming bond developes between Maxie and Spinelli after Georgie's death.
Mac becomes unprofessional in his search for the Text Message Killer.
Patrick and Robin grow closer in the midst of tragedy. But they still have to face their problems head on. Robin admits she doesn't want to waste anymore time.
Patrick wants to work out a compromise. Robin takes baby steps to have her dream come true.
Maxie recieves another text message and calls on Spinelli to use his computer skills to help her out. Maxie is determined to find Georgie's killer.
Maxie starts to suspect Coop and plays a dangerous game of cat and mouse
Coming Up:
Carly and Robin find themselves going through a similiar situation. (source)

The second killer has a brother on the canvas. Will a certain lawyer be devestated as well...or dead?

Wow Amy, that article on the HIV pregnancies and one woman's ordeal was very interesting. It shows it can be done. I hope if/when GH does the HIV baby storyline, they do it justice. I am kinda skeptical though.
