Robin and Patrick witness a volatile Andrea attacking Matt on Wednesday, June 24, accusing him of ruining her husband's career. On Thursday, June 25, Ric is sure everything is going his way as he informs Andrea that the Drake men hired him to represent then in the malpractice case. Mac and Alexis are confronted with the suspicion that Brianna was murdered. Upon being arrested, on Friday, June 26, Mayor Floyd makes a shocking public announcement that leaves Alexis stunned and humiliated. Monday, June 29th, Robin and Patrick fear they've made a horrible mistake. Alexis has her dirty laundry aired in public. Thursday, July 2nd, Robin points the finger at a different murder suspect.

Floyd is arrested for the murder of his mistress. JB says that Floyd's going down, he's not going down by himself so he tells makes the declaration that he had an affair with Alexis. He's trying to divert the attention of his arrest and charging that because of their affair, Alexis is not qualified to do her job. He's pointing the finger at Alexis, claiming that she's a woman scorned and it's her self righteous anger that's fueling this scandal. Kristina is humiliated. JB says that Floyd is heartless & he couldn't help but think of NY's former governor Eliot Spitzer and how what his family endured was heartbreaking. With Spinelli, Sam, Robin, and Patrick on the case, new evidence arises by weeks end that could vindicate Floyd. Another suspect comes to light.

SOW July Sweeps Preview- Guza previews what's coming this summer:
"One of the most beloved characters will become the No. 1 suspect in the murder of the mayor's mistress. Robin will make it her mission to clear this persons name, and Patrick will support her every step of the way. The only downside to investigating a murder? Latest Scrubs Speculation @the Dish ... which is quite possibly false and should be taken with a grain of salt

Again if forced to choose I'd say Patrick/Robin/Alexis/Andrea were the main characters in the scandal storyline. Sam, Spinelli, Maxie, Kristina, Diane, Mac, Raynor, Matt, Molly and The Mayor. Would be the Supporting Cast. Although it's obvious who would have larger chucks in the supporting roles then others.

Since some of the mags have been posted I'll expand a little on some spoilers:
Something coming up between Alexis and Robin involving Helena but I don't have all the details on that yet

As I said before Alexis has a string of supporters for her. Diane, Robin, Patrick, Mac, Raynor, Sam, Spinelli, Maxie.. They are all involved in some way in clearing Alexis's name.

I think this was all from GGCB this morning:
Because that's not the way it works.
They take the info they get from focus groups and adjust a story to the specifications.
Then they focus group them again.
If they get a better response then they keep working.
If they get a lower, or equally bad response
Then they start reconsidering.
There's a LOT involved in this whole scenario.
Its not just a "Oh well they did bad in focus groups on Monday, guess we'll do rewrites and drop them on Tuesday."
They get a lot of information from focus groups.
compile it, analyze it and really try to figure out what is not working, what could be changed to make it work better, what is working.

Back to Basics

Hasn't it been great watching Robin return to her former self over the last several weeks? Even though the PPD storyline did give us some positives by showing us what a versatile actress Kimberly McCullough has become it just wasn't the Robin we've always known. (Yes, I get that Robin having PPD = totally different person) Honestly, that storyline was just really boring me. I like this character when she's energetic, happy, focused, flirty, bantering and down right lovely. To me that's much more entertaining. I adore how much she loves Patrick and finally being able to see her happy, nesting and motherly with Emma is such a delight! I always wondered what it would be like when she was able to bond with her and the recent scenes have not disappointed me! I am thrilled that Robin is getting back to basics ...




Quickly bonding with Emma was VERY important to Robin. Re-establishing that connection and showing her daughter just how much she loves her meant everything. I love the play time they had here. Too cute!


Once she had gotten her self comfortable with Emma again, it was time to bond with her dad! Ha ha! Watching Robin and Patrick "reunite" was like old times. The chemistry between these two never dies and it's nice to be able to see a couple actually work through life's troubles and make it to the other side still in tact and stronger than ever.


Like I said before, I love seeing Robin excited and full of life! She's got such an amazing story and this character has such heart. Kimberly McCullough really does a fantastic job of portraying that and I love seeing expressions like this on Robin's face.


What list would be complete without family time! Anytime they show the three of them together it just brings a huge smile to my face.


After everything Robin has been through its nice to see her in a position to help support Patrick through this malpractice issue. She's very good at listening and being that shoulder he can count on.


I'm loving the mult-tasking that is happening in this episode. Robin can be a mom to Emma, wife to Patrick and doctor/investigator! Love how those Devane/Scorpio roots are shining through!!


Flirty Scrubs are back! This will go down as one of my all time favorite scenes. A really creative way to work the storyline. I just can't get enough of how perfect these two are together. The look on Robin's face is priceless! I'm just so happy she's back because nothing was the same without our Robin.

Can't stick around so I am just going to drop this here:
We will be working on three promos next week which should run for about a month beginning mid-July.
One is all about summer sex and is supposed to include Sonny/Claudia, Scrubs, Jasam, Rebecca/Nik, Liz/Nik (Me: WTF?), Liz/Lucky and Johnny/Olivia
One is about a murder mystery that is ensemble. Haven't really looked at the outline on this one so you guys probably know more about it than me, but I do remember Scrubs and Alexis are in it. Also a lot of folks I do not know.
The third is on renewed relationships and is Jasam heavy.
Also heard they are working on a "meet the characters of ABC daytime" spot for Soapnet.
I asked about a new opening and was told it is "on the agenda."
That is all I know right now. I am really behind as I do not even know who half the characters are in the first two promos. I do know we will be using some new scenes, but also a lot that have already aired as we are doing some archival work all the way back to 2005 - especially for the Jasam and LL2 stuff.
I will drop stuff off this week in the IL as I come across it and then this weekend we can gossip and you guys can give me your POVs on who the hell some of these characters are.

Murder and Malpractice
While Ric and Andrea hatch a plan to benefit each other, Robin and Patrick review Brianna Hughes' autopsy report and conclude she was murdered. Patrick and Robin meet with Mayor Floyd and inform him of their findings. He swears he didn't kill her, that he truly loved her. Upon returning to the hospital, Robin and Patrick witness Andrea verbally attacking Mac. She accuses Mac of ruining her husband's career and then slaps him. Ric and Andrea's scheme is going better then they could have planned when Matt and Patrick hire Ric to take on their malpractice suit. Robin, Patrick, Spinelli and Maxie take their evidence to Mac and Alexis. Mac arrests Mayor Floyd for murder and he makes a shocking public announcement.

Adboy. You may not know, but for the first time ever GH didn't do a promo last week. Someone said it was budget(although OLTL and AMC had one) and then someone else said a storyline had been dropped and so they dropped the promo at the last minute and didn't have time to do another. Any ideas?
Jill has always been in charge of the weekly promos, but we are in the process of moving it to ABC marketing. But we dont start editing promos until next week. Might be because of the change. I am still getting settled in so I am not up to date on everything.

The mayor insists that he would have never killed Brianna because he truly loved her. Robin and Patrick witness a volatile Andrea attacking Matt on Wednesday, June 24, accusing him of ruining her husband's career. On Thursday, June 25, Ric is sure everything is going his way as he informs Andrea that the Drake men hired him to represent then in the malpractice case. Mac and Alexis are confronted with the suspicion that Brianna was murdered. Upon being arrested, on Friday, June 26, Mayor Floyd makes a shocking public announcement that leaves Alexis stunned and humiliated. (source)

As for the investigation into the death of the mayor's mistress, Patrick and Robin have come up with a pretty solid case against the Mayor himself. Perhaps even solid enough to get him arrested. But look for a big reveal involving two Port Charlesians that will turn the whole case on its head. Oh, and Alexis is involved in a whopper of a bombshell too.

Mac Arrests Mayor For Murder!

John Bolger says Mayor Floyd is someone living by a sense of his own self-importance.

For a politico the mayor did a bad job of convincing amateur sleuths Robin and Patrick that he loved Brianna Hughes. Instead, Drs. Drake and Scorpio investigate on their own and conclude that Brianna was murdered. Their next stop is convincing Mac and DA Alexis to arrest Floyd.

JB says that the mayor's wife Andrea might pull enough political strings to at least put the case through the court system quickly. Andrea is powerful with a lot of connections and her ambition means nothing will stand in the way of getting him to become governor.

Martha Byrne speculates, what is it about this particular scandal that's driving her to make it stop, her husband and their history? The audience is going to learn more about their marriage and history and how they've gotten to where they are.

JB compares Mr. and Mrs. Floyd to a Macbeth/Lady Macbeth type relationship with a little Hillary Clinton thrown in. In some ways it's a good political partnership but might not be such a good partnership for happiness.

Floyd is determined to make his tormentors as unhappy as he is. JB says that he's very good at turning the tables and deflecting the blame. He brings up a brief affair that he had with someone else as a way of deflecting blame and saying that this is a woman out for revenge.

But evidently Floyd is the true master when it comes to revenge.

Alexis and Kristina have issues. Issues Robin understands and she happens to come across Kris at a time when she is feeling neglected.

I have said it before, JC's status with the show is uncertain. I'm sorry to say as I like him myself but he is not going to be a major part of the murder story as you all were led to believe. He is not on much for the month of June. Scrubs are involved as they help him in some unethical ways.

All hatred and bitterness aside, he really is someone who believes in keeping his word to people
So I still expect him to end up with a storyline.
I think its pretty obvious Frons is going to have to force it to get it, and reports to the contrary notwithstanding, he doesn't like to do that.
But I expect he will if things don't improve soon.

Another interesting thing, they think the mayor is a huge culprit but a lot of it is Andrea and she's pulling the strings. Robin and Patrick of course have a huge stake in this because of Matt. Matt is drowning is self pity and insecurity. He starts to think that he might have cost a woman her life to placate his ego and prove something to Patrick. Hits him hard.

As they are trying to clear Matt's name and get the malpractice suit against him dropped. It's mostly that type of stuff for them right now. And Robin is bonding with Kristina.

Alexis admits to Diane that Mayor Floyd has asked her to help make the Hughes' family suit against Matt disappear quickly. After learning about Brianna's death, Sam informs Jason and Spinelli that she had been hired by the Mayor's wife to get proof of her husband's extramarital activities. Patrick finds himself named as a co-defendant in the Hughes' malpractice suit after making an inadvertent slip in front of Diane on Tuesday, June 16. Diane becomes suspicious and questions Alexis' true motives when the lawyer once again tries to persuade her to get the suit against Matt and Patrick dropped. On Wednesday, June 17, Robin and Patrick hit the showers to try to figure out how Brianna Hughes really died. Maxie and Spinelli try to find dirt on Mayor Floyd. Mac keeps quiet after spotting Spinelli and Maxie hiding in the Mayor's office but later sends Robin to give Maxie a warning. Robin is surprised to learn that the Mayor's wife was pursuing an investigation against him. Patrick, meanwhile, gets a surprise visit from Andrea Floyd (Martha Byrne), the Mayor's wife. Andrea tells Patrick she wants him to get the malpractice suit settled outside of court in order to avoid scandal. (source)

P.I.'s, Lawyers, and Malpractice Suits
Mayor Floyd asks Alexis to talk with Diane in the hopes of sweeping the situation with Brianna Hughes, under the rug. Alexis goes to Diane and tells her the situation Mayor Floyd has put her in. Sam has been hired by Mayor Floyd's wife, Andrea, to get proof her husband is having an extramarital affair, which leads Sam to learn about Brianna Hughes' death. When Spinelli hears this, he immediately jumps to the conclusion Brianna Hughes was murdered. Diane wonders why Alexis is cowering to the Mayor's demands. Maxie and Spinelli break into the Mayor's office to find evidence and are forced to hide when Mac and the Mayor return unexpectedly. Mac sees Spinelli and Maxie hiding but doesn't let on to the Mayor. Later, Mac asks Robin to have a talk with Maxie about playing private eye. Robin is surprised to hear Sam was hired by Mayor Floyd's wife to find proof about her husband.

Patrick is soon regretting allowing Matt to perform the operation on Brianna Hughes. Matt goes to Jake's and hits on Maxie and gets into a physical altercation with Spinelli. Johnny gets his punches in on Matt and begins to pummel him to the ground. Coleman calls Patrick to come and get Matt who is in pretty bad shape. Robin and Patrick arrive and take Matt home. Later, Patrick inadvertently gives Diane information about Matt he shouldn't. Diane informs Patrick, he too, is also named in the malpractice suit. Patrick gets a surprise visit from the Mayor's wife, Andrea, who asks him to quietly settle the malpractice suit out of court. (source)

Matt continues to push Robin and Patrick away.
Coleman calls Patrick to come to Jake’s.
The mayor wants Diane to drop the case.
Patrick has regrets.

The major's wife killed his mistress while he was getting pills for her. She tries to deflect it on to others.
Mac suspects that it is all to pat and doesn't believe Alexis is capable of this. This are being pushed by anon sources (the mayor's wife) digging up Alexis's past with Luis. There are some good Alexis and Mac scenes but nothing huge.
Scrubs get involved trying to help Matt, as does Maxie. The Matt and Maxie attraction is hinted at, but don't expect that to gel yet.
Also this is going to set up a foundation of Matt caring about Maxie, and you'll see the start of Patrick and Robin fighting not just for their immediate family but for their Drake and Scorpio family too.

The affair is hinted too and it's kind of a surprise but you know Alexis had nothing to do with the murder. She's totally innocent so it's set up for you to be on Alexis's side. Everyone is supporting Alexis in this thing. It's not just a Sam thing, which I know a lot of Alexis fans have been unhappy about. But there are of course some Sam tie ins because she has done work for Andrea. Sam , Diane, Mac, Robin, Patrick, Raynor, Spinelli, Sonny (at some points) are all supporting Alexis on this.
Another interesting thing, they think the mayor is a huge culprit but a lot of it is Andrea and she's pulling the strings. Robin and Patrick of course have a huge stake in this because of Matt. Matt is drowning is self pity and insecurity. He starts to think that he might have cost a woman her life to placate his ego and prove something to Patrick. Hits him hard.

There is another great disaster on the horizon for the citizens of Port Charles (Train Wreck, Monkey Virus, etc.)

The second 'medical mystery' at the hospital this summer, Following Martha Byrne, will feature a former well-known soap actress in a euthanasia storyline. Before her assisted death she has some interesting revelations for members of the Cassadine family. That birth certificate you'e been wondering about, will play into this.

Tuesday, June 9 - Patrick eases Robin’s insecurities and they make love, happier than they’ve been in a long time.
Wednesday, June 10 - Patrick and Robin answer Olivia’s distress call and arrive at the Metro Court to discover the Mayor’s mistress unconscious after she fell in the shower while having sex with him. Robin and Patrick tend to their patient while Mayor Floyd makes a quick getaway.
Thursday, June 11 - Patrick reluctantly agrees to allow Matt to perform the emergency surgery on Brianna Hughes, the Mayor’s mistress. Matt faces a crisis in the operating room while Patrick and Robin are enjoying themselves in the park with Emma.
Friday, June 12 - A defensive Matt spurns Patrick and Robin when they try to reach out to him after his patient dies during surgery. Diane lets Matt, Robin and Patrick know that the family of Brianna Hughes is planning on suing Matt for malpractice.

Monday, June 15 - Matt continues to push Robin and Patrick away. Patrick regrets that he allowed Matt to perform Brianna’s surgery. After trying to hit on Maxie at Jake’s, Matt starts to beat up Spinelli. Johnny gets into the fray, quickly getting the upper hand on Matt as he begins to pummel him. Coleman calls Patrick warning him that Matt’s in trouble.
Tuesday, June 16th - Patrick and Robin get Matt out of Jake’s. Patrick inadvertently gives Diane more ammunition to use in her malpractice suit. Diane later informs Patrick that he’s going to be named in the malpractice suit along with Matt.
Wednesday, June 17 - Diane wonders why Alexis is bowing to the Mayor when she tries to convince her to drop the malpractice suit against Patrick and Matt. Robin and Patrick hit the showers in an attempt to figure out how Brianna died. Patrick gets a surprise visit from the Mayor’s wife. Maxie and Spinelli break into the Mayor’s office to do some snooping and quickly hide when Mac and the Mayor arrive. Mac doesn’t give Maxie and Spinelli away when he spots them but later sends Robin to tell Maxie to stop playing detective. Robin’s surprised to learn that the Mayor’s wife hired Sam to investigate her husband.

Shocking bedtime revelations tear one couple apart during their rebuilding process. This can only send the weaker one over the edge. Watch for that first step off the wagon, it's a free for all downward spiral from there.

Another would be couple (at least for one party) hears something during an intense moment that sounds all too familiar and sets off fireworks of the bad kind.

Two meet and try to determine where their future lies, if anywhere.

Someone takes off to sort out feelings and comes back knowing full well what they want and intend on getting it.
