Professional: When Jason turned 18, he left home to try his luck as a model. Soon his successful career in modeling and commercials -- including for The Gap -- allowed Jason to pay the bills and travel internationally. But he admits that becoming an actor was never far from his thoughts. In just a few short years, Jason has built an impressive resume of theater, film and television credits. His theater gigs have included lead roles in the plays "The Academy," "More than You" and "Jakob." He also starred in the movies "Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy" and "Divide." Before joining the cast of "General Hospital" back in 2005, Thompson landed roles on the TV shows "Deep," "Felicity," "Zoe," "MTV Undressed" and "Flipper."

Despite their differences, Patrick donated part of his liver to save Noah's life.

Around the same time, Patrick fell for his pal and co-worker, Dr. Robin Scorpio. In the summer of 2006, Patrick was exposed to HIV because of an accident in the operating room. This deepened his bond with Robin, who has lived with HIV for years.

Patrick and Robin define on-again, off-again. But now they're connected like never before because Robin's got a baby on the way. Patrick was once adamantly against fatherhood, but he's definitely warming up to the idea ?
